Taskla Sdn. Bhd. ("Taskla", "we", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use the Taskla platform ("Platform").
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, phone number, location, and identity documents (MyKad) when you verify your account. We also collect information about how you use our platform, such as tasks posted, bids made, and messages sent.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to operate and improve the Taskla platform, process transactions, verify identities, send notifications, provide customer support, and comply with legal obligations under Malaysian law including the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA).
3. Identity Verification
When you submit identity documents (MyKad and selfie) for verification, these documents are reviewed by authorised Taskla staff only. Upon approval, documents are transferred to secure, access-controlled storage and deleted from our primary systems. We do not share your identity documents with third parties, Taskers, or task posters.
4. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal data. We may share limited information with other users as needed to facilitate a task (e.g., your first name and rating). We may share data with service providers who assist us in operating the platform, subject to confidentiality obligations.
5. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), encrypted storage, and access controls. Payments are processed securely via Billplz. Despite our precautions, no system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us. Some data may be retained as required by law.
7. Your Rights
Under the PDPA 2010, you have the right to access and correct your personal data. You may also withdraw consent for data processing, subject to any legal or contractual restrictions. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@taskla.my.
8. Cookies
We use essential cookies to maintain your session and preferences. We may use analytics cookies to understand how users interact with our platform. You can control cookie settings through your browser, though disabling cookies may affect functionality.
9. Children
Taskla is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or via a notice on the platform. Your continued use of Taskla after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
